Welcome Week 2026!
The 2024 team from NorthLight Anglican Church (Sydney)
Welcome Week 2026 is the 23rd edition of a long-standing friendship and gospel partnership between LRCC and NorthLight Anglican, Sydney (formerly St Matt's West Pymble), with a special focus on sharing Christ’s welcome with those in our community who don’t yet know him.
For the 2026 edition we will be trying something we have never done before - with the help of an additional team from Moore Theological College (Sydney), along with some help from a bunch of Bush Church Aid (BCA) Nomads, we will be duplicating some of the best parts of the program 'down the road' at Walgett and Collerenebri, in partnership with George and Carmel Ferguson from the Anglican church.
Welcome Week 2026 is seven days of super opportunities to connect with the good news about Jesus, and the eternal welcome he offers to all people who build their lives on him. All the usual good stuff will still be happening here in Lightning Ridge and Goodooga. But this year we get to share the love in Walgett and Colly!

There’s also an all-in lunch on the first Sunday, a prayer meeting on the Monday evening, daily devotions (Mon-Fri), an end of week BBQ at the Kids' Club on the Friday arvo… plus loads more!!!

- Afternoon kids and youth clubs (Mon-Fri) - Lightning Ridge and Walgett (kids' club only)
- Daily visits to schools, preschools, aged care, etc.
- Mid-week evening events (women / men / youth)
- Sunday church services for newcomers
