Meet the Minister

Kurt Langmead is the minister of Lightning Ridge Community Church. Along with his wife Bec and five kids, he loves prayerfully sharing his life and the gospel with people in places that others might miss!

Service times

9:30am Sundays @ LRCC

Our main Sunday service starts at 9:30am each Sunday (with breaky club beforehand for all ages from 9am)

The service is held at the main LRCC property (13 Morilla Street, L/Ridge).

Before the service, there is a brief, 10 minute prayer meeting in the hall from 8:50am, followed by Breakfast Club from 9am (cereal, juice, tea & coffee) - all are welcome, young and old!

The service typically finishes by 11am, and is followed by a time to catch up over morning tea in hall.

ROCKgarden, our kids' church program, runs during the main 9:30am service each week (noting the children come back into the main gathering whenever we share the Lord's Supper.

Lord's Supper is usually served on the 1st Sunday - all baptised Christian believers who are committed members of a local church, in right relationship with God and others, are welcome to participate (grape juice is used in place of wine; gluten free bread is available upon request)

Our monthly Cumborah branch service (Lord's Supper) is on the 2nd Sunday of each month, 12:30pm @ St Peter's in the Pines, Cumborah, followed by lunch.

Monthly Gospel Gatherings are also held at Goodooga (3rd Sat) and L/Ridge (4th Sat) - see 'Groups and Gatherings' page for times and details...

Tips for newcomers...​​

• ​Bathrooms at our main LRCC property are located outside hall on eastern veranda (incl. disabled facilities)
• Parents Room for parents / carers with young children is in the back right corner of main auditorium - please make yourself at home!
• Large-print copy of bulletin available upon request at the welcome desk
• Hearing Loop installed – simply adjust hearing aids to ‘T’ setting, or ask staff for help
  
• FREE Christian Counselling resources in display unit in hall
• A special Friendship Morning Tea is held on the fourth Sunday of each month - you are welcome to bring something to share
  
• Breaky Club for all ages is available before the service each Sunday from 9am in the hall
  
• Our updated Smoking Policy allows for two comfortable, designated smoking areas for smokers, who are welcome at our gatherings
• A newly refurnished Pooch Porch has been set up on the western veranda, with bed and bowl for dogs to enjoy while the service is running.
  
• New gates on the back carpark create a safe, active play area for children and teens over morning tea (includes new basketball hoop)
